Catalog description

A study of the use of energy and the financial and technological viability of energy alternatives. This course examines both traditional energy technologies and new alternatives, methods of reducing energy demand, and the financial analysis of energy management and generation choices. The environmental impact of energy will also be addressed. Students are trained in the technical analysis of energy use and management through applied projects, and are required to produce professional presentations and proposals on these projects. Co-convened with SUST 3312.
