Catalog description

This course will introduce basic concepts and applications of terrestrial LiDAR high definition survey using laser scanning and imaging technologies. Terrestrial LiDAR scanning provides high-resolution three-dimensional point cloud data, images and active laser captured data. The course will focus on terrestrial LiDAR technology using the Leica P-20 hardware, data collection, processing, object modeling and analysis, and examples of science applications. A combination of lectures and hands-on demonstrations of terrestrial LiDAR equipment and data processing software will be used.
