Catalog description

This course deals with how stream landscapes develop under natural conditions and how these are altered by human activities. The course will focus on methods of floodplain description, methods for the recognition of floodplain degradation, and methods for stream restoration. The techniques developed by D.L. Rosgen will serve as the point of departure for other compatible techniques.Faculty: C. EPSTEIN
