PROFESSIONAL WRITING

Catalog description

This HYBRID course will focus on the basic techniques of writing (paragraph structure and grammar, as well as tools for effective nonfiction writing), as well as more advanced topics of interest to the PSM students. The students will practice writing scientific papers, grant proposals, press releases, and editorials, among others. The course will address many common issues in scientific writing as well as writing for the general audience, teaching the students to effectively communicate with a range of clients, organizations, and the general public.
