Open to graduate students only.This course examines modern and contemporary portrayals of adolescents in coming of age literature and in the popular media. Teachers will analyze recent research on the challenges and opportunities faced by today's youth and discuss how coming of age literature can be used to engage students in the language arts classroom and create communities of learning.
