EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of measurement and evaluation. It will focus on the construction of teacher assessment to measure student learning. Students will develop questioning techniques, authentic assessment instruments, portfolio assessments and rubrics, as well as more traditional assessment devices. Students will review research on standardized tests, e.g. GEPA, and HSPT. Analysis of test results to effect changes in instruction and teaching will be emphasized.
