Catalog description

Transforming analytical skills into viable business opportunities is where data science meets entrepreneurship. Students will have the opportunity to identify market needs that data science can address, develop business models centered on data products, and communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Case studies of startup fundamentals including customer validation, revenue models, and scaling strategies specific to data-driven businesses provide a foundation for the final project in which a business plan for a data-driven startup is developed. Interested students in programs other than DSSA should contact the instructor for permission to register.
