Catalog description

This course introduces machine learning that is one of the essential subfields of artificial intelligence, focusing on data mining application. Topics include data manipulation, neural networks, tree-based models, and optimization algorithms. Students will learn how to program in R and complete a capstone project which requires for students to define research questions and apply machine techniques with real dataset. The deliverables of this seminar course will be a presentation and an IEEE formatted paper.
