BALLET III

Catalog description

Prerequisite: DANC 2410 with a grade of C or better and Permission of Instructor. Not open to Theatre, Music, and Dance majors and minors. Formerly titled Intermediate/Advanced Ballet. A continuation from Ballet II, this course builds further awareness of alignment, strength, flexibility, vocabulary, and articulation while emphasizing integration of whole body movements. Further development includes clarity of line, jumps, musical phrasing, and artistry. Course work includes placing technique in historical and contemporary context. May be repeated three times for credit.
