Catalog description

This course covers current trends and you will learn how to leverage the available geospatial data that are openly available throughout the United States and the world using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools. GIS tools will be used to perform spatial analyses, modeling and visualization by integrating a variety of geospatial data types to create a virtual world for real world analyses and problem solving. Data from multiple formats and data types including LiDAR, 3D models, remote databases, near-time data and non-standard data sources will be covered. This will allow the exploration of new analytical and visualization possibilities available using the latest in 2D, 3D and 4D geospatial tools and data. Cross-listed with ENSC 5306.
