Open only to juniors and seniors.Permission of Instructor required.Unpaid Internships are available with NJSCFL for extra credit.(Same as CRIM 4487.) An introduction to recent advances and current issues related to computer forensics and security. The course addresses issues related to prevention, detection, apprehension, and prosecution of cyber criminals. Topics related to legal issues, criminal cases and investigations, ethics, viruses and worms, malware analysis, confidentiality, integrity, network modeling, recent advances in intrusions, detection and response, time documentation, file systems, firewalls, access control, disaster recovery, forensic procedures, writing expert witness reports and forensic tools will be included.Faculty: A.
