INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAW

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Baccalaureate degree from accredited institution.This course is designed to examine the origin, sources, content, issues, norms, and enforcement procedures of international human rights law. The laws and procedures implemented to protect, prevent, and punish human rights offenses within customary international law and international treaties are thoroughly reviewed. Mass human rights violations, including genocide and crimes against humanity, are covered, along with international and regional courts, which hear disputes and criminal prosecutions. Faculty: H. RHEA
