Catalog description

Prerequisite: Degree from fully accredited undergraduate institution.This course will address topics in policing that have a psychological component to either the completion of assignments or their aftermath. Specific topics include selection of police candidates, hostage and crisis negotiations, post shooting trauma, mental health of the first responder, physiological and mental responses to domestic violence, injuries to children, response to terrorism, police chases, police corruption, and police stress in general. Policies and procedures will also be addressed.Faculty: J. WHITE
