HOMELAND SECURITY POLICY

Catalog description

This course reviews and analyzes policy within the field of homeland security. Using research in the field of terrorism and disaster preparedness, students become aware of the costs of poorly constructed policy and the benefits of well designed initiatives. Students are encouraged to think critically and critique past and current policy. Disaster/emergency management policies will be reviewed utilizing theories in political science and economics as well as counter-terrorism efforts, both domestic and foreign, utilizing theories of criminology.
