Catalog description
This course will examine the interface between mental health and criminal justice by studying the treatment of the mentally disordered offender throughout the criminal court process. Special emphasis will be given to insanity, competency, involuntary commitment, right to treatment, diminished capacity, and death penalty through the study of legal cases.
