SEXUAL ASSAULT: VICTIMS AND PERPETRATORS

Values/Ethics Course (V). Students will explore theoretical explanations of why sexual assault occurs and will investigate the various reactions to victims and perpetrators of sexual assault, including the responses of the media, criminal justice system, the medical community, and informal sources of social support (family, friends, and intimate partners). This course will include assigned readings of theoretical and empirical articles along with book chapters, class discussions, and small-group activities/discussions.Faculty: D. Button
