Catalog description

This course will examine all types of disordered eating, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, compulsive eating, obesity, and weight preoccupation. There will also be discussion of cultural and nutritional factors, family issues, and physiological and psychological consequences of eating disorders. Finally, some clinical aspects, such as preventative and therapeutic interventions will be discussed.
