Catalog description
This course will provide a foundation for understanding behavior and how the nervous system functions in humans and other animals. Emphasis on neuroanatomy and pathways, neurophysiology, and pharmacology during first half of semester. The second half emphasizes sensory and motor systems in addition to contemporary ideas regarding higher cognitive functions. A laboratory component (BIOL 4231) is required. Offered each fall term. Open only to students who have been accepted into the DPT program.
