Prerequisite: BIOL 1100, 1105, 1200, 1205.This course will concentrate on the evolution of parasites, their host adaptations, damage to the host economic impact, and control methods. The laboratory portion will cover the identification and life cycles of protozoa, platyhelminthes, nematodes, acanthocephala, and selected arthropods. The parasites of vertebrates including humans will be emphasized.Faculty: R. WERNER
