Catalog description

The second half of a one-year sequence in general biology. The course is intended for biology majors and for students in other life-science disciplines. The biology of organisms. A phylogenetic survey of the taxonomic kingdoms, ideas about the origin of life, the theory of evolution, and the evidence that supports it. A one-credit laboratory, BIOL 1405, is a required corequisite.
