Permission of Instructor Required. This course will apply research-creation strategies to community engagement. Through analysis and comparison of the current border crisis in the USA, Colombia, and Venezuela, students will develop international art projects to establish a dialogue between communities, analyze policy-making and border security, and utilize contemporary art and public art as a community engagement strategy for future creative placemaking.
