SCULPTURE II

Catalog description

Prerequisite: ARTV 2269.Sculpture II will continue to examine the issues of structure and form covered in 3-D Design and Sculpture I while introducing new sculptural methods and materials. Particular attention will be paid to strategies of repetition and accumulation as a means of creating sculpture, both in relation to found objects and cast multiples. In addition to extensive lectures and readings, this will be a very hands-on class, with students being expected to expand their shop techniques, research and procure materials, and develop their own working vocabulary.Faculty: J Morfit
