ARTV 1161, ARTV 1162, ARTV 2161 and ARTV 2920 or ARTV Portfolio Review Y.Representational skills using oil paint, color understanding and sophistication, and an individualized process of composing a painting are stressed. Students set up their own still life emphasizing color harmony. Resolving tensions between drawing and color space, color mixing with complements and atmospheric perspective are examined.
