ART OF THE RENAISSANCE

Recommended: ARTV 2176. Arts course (A).This course focuses on the art produced in Italy and northern Europe during the Renaissance (the 15th and 16th centuries). Developments in various media will be considered, including painting, sculpture, architecture, and illuminated manuscripts. Our focus will be on the work of major artists from an era that produced an exceptional number of them, including Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Van Eyck, and Durer.
