Catalog description
Prerequisite: Students must provide a digital camera with manually adjustable aperture, shutter and focus (8 megapixels or higher). The objective is to introduce the students to the technical capabilities of the digital camera while exploring the medium of photography as a fine art form and visual language. Students will also learn the fundamental principles of the camera controls (exposure, aperture, and shutter) for creative solutions in photography. We will use Adobe Lightroom (and other software) as a means to edit and enhance images. Lightroom techniques such as color and tonal correction, file sizes, saving images, dodging, and burning are examples of topics to be covered. All course work will be submitted and reviewed online using Blackboard.Faculty: W. White
