Catalog description

Prerequisite: Open to graduate students and qualified undergraduates (those who have completed a minimum of 96 undergraduate credits with an overall GPA of at least 3.2). Qualified undergraduates must contact the Office of Graduate Studies for the required permission form. Note: AMST 5013 may be repeated once for credit when topics vary. Students will be introduced to the history of museums and the field of public history. Issues of theory and practice will be examined as they relate to development and use of museum collections; museum education and public programming; exhibition development; research; and evaluation.
