Catalog description

African American Theatre Workshop II will expose students to different approaches to acting, music theatre, and dance by exploring various creative techniques. Students will be compelled to learn how to collaborate and be part of a creative community that inspires patience and perseverance. Participants will develop an artistic presentation that reflects contemporary society, African American aesthetics, and creativity. Members of African American Theatre Workshop II will learn to think globally about theatre by contextualizing their work using their own stories to tell the truth about the human condition through theatrical storytelling.
