Colloquium in Jewish Studies: Where Ideas Meet Identities

This course is designed to supplement Jewish Studies courses at Stanford, providing students additional opportunities to expand their knowledge of what Jewish Studies has to offer and consider how scholarship can shape or challenge their ideas about Jewish identities. Sessions will feature close reading of texts led by leading scholars of Jewish history, religion, literature, and culture from around the globe. Join Jewish Studies faculty and graduate students in conversation about the texts and ideas that have shaped Jewishness. Geared toward students enrolled in (or who have previously been enrolled in) Jewish Studies courses, but open to any student interested in exploring the academic study of Jews and Judaism.
