Catalog description

Taking the global impact of the novels of Elena Ferrante as its starting point, this course looks back on the many feminist authors she engages with, including Elsa Morante, Anna Banti, Marguerite Duras, Jeanne Hyvrard, and Christa Wolf. The course will also include readings from the European feminist tradition, probing difference feminism in particular, and include Simone de Beauvoir, Luce Irigaray, and Adriana Cavarero.
