Dissertation Prospectus Seminar

Catalog description

This course is primarily designed for third-year PhD students in the History Department to develop their dissertation prospectuses. All the assignments build toward the achievement of a strong draft prospectus by the end of the quarter. Along the way, students will exchange, read and comment upon one another's work. The course is timed in part to help students prepare for grant applications that require in-depth descriptions of the dissertation project.
