Catalog description

This class is aimed at students specializing in particle accelerator physics or related subjects. In Winter 25-26, we will discuss radiation from relativistic electrons and coherent radiation processes. We will derive the properties of fundamental radiation processes such as synchrotron and undulator radiation, transition radiation and Cherenkov radiation. We will give a generalized description of both spontaneous and coherent radiation processes, and discuss their applications in modern particle accelerators.
