Philanthropy: Strategy, Impact & Leadership will empower you with the skills, experience and inspiration to begin mapping a life legacy of generosity and engage in high-impact philanthropy - regardless of what type and size of resources you have to invest. This course will provide a formal space to define and refine your social values, passions and purpose, and equip you with the knowledge and practical tools to translate your financial, human, network and intellectual capital into measurable change. This course pairs AI-driven learning with human wisdom and lived experiences to amplify your ability to map social ecosystems, identify points of opportunity, create investment criteria and a theory of change for your philanthropic initiatives. Finally, you will participate in a real-time, grantmaking practicum in which you will assess nonprofits operationally and financially. This experience will entail student-led nonprofit assessments, peer reviews and a class selection process to fund two Silicon Valley nonprofits, each with a $10,000 grant from Andreessen Philanthropies. Regardless of your profession, industry, background, age, or asset portfolio, this course will transform your ability to make your giving, service and leadership matter more.
