Catalog description

The Leadership for Society program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business explores the challenges of leadership in a well-functioning society. Maintaining a well-functioning society requires inspired leadership across both private and public sectors. Balancing short-term returns on investment with society's long-term goals presents ongoing challenges for leaders today. The course uses a two-part learning model to explore these tensions. First, students will engage with pre-recorded video content featuring leaders from diverse sectors, completing this asynchronously at their own pace. Second, students will participate in small peer discussions to examine these issues in depth and explore real-world leadership challenges.
