Writing Film Criticism

Catalog description

What makes a great film critic? How does a film critic earn the trust of their audience? What makes good written criticism? What makes good podcast criticism? In this course we will analyze the work of influential film critics as we compose and workshop our own critical essays. As part of the course we will attend several screenings at the local Stanford and Aquarius Theaters.
