We'll examine this topic through various lenses - physiology, humanities, and social sciences - to understand reproductive health experiences both in the U.S. and globally. How do medical professionals, patients, and policymakers navigate and regulate reproductive health, and what ethical considerations arise in these discussions? Through interactive lectures and collaborative group projects, you'll explore essential themes such as sexual health, fertility, pregnancy, parenting, abortion, contraception, and menopause, through narratives, ethical frameworks, technological advances and scientific inquiry. Taught by a History Professor and a Gynecologist, this course will empower you to investigate and present on pressing challenges in reproductive health today, equipping you with the tools to engage thoughtfully in these vital conversations.
