Catalog description

This is a self-study, self-designed capstone course for juniors and seniors in the Earth and Planetary Sciences major. You'll use your geoscience background to explore a real-world problem and propose practical, research-based solutions. At the end of your project, you'll present your work through a written report and an oral presentation. Students must complete 3 total units for the degree. You may enroll for 1-3 units per quarter (maximum of 3 per quarter). Students must enroll in EPS 193 under either the Director of Undergraduate Studies or a Stanford faculty member whose research aligns with their project proposal. If your faculty advisor does not appear on the enrollment list, please contact the EPS SSO Team to have them added.
