The course will read Shakespearean tragedy and comedy from the perspective of postcolonial and critical race theories, among others. Plays to be looked at will include Hamlet, Othello, Antony and Cleopatra, Coriolanus, The Tempest, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
