This course examines the role of globalization in shaping long-run economic prosperity. We study how different dimensions of integration into the global economy - such as trade in goods, openness to multinational firms, capital flows, and immigration - affect a country's long-run income level. For each dimension, we cover the leading economic models alongside the available empirical evidence. Approved field credit for the ECON BA, BS, and Minor Programs.
