What separates founders who break through from those who don't is not the quality of their first idea; it's the quality of their method. How they generate many ideas. How they build fast, test ruthlessly, and iterate without ego. Launch Principles is built on that truth. At Stanford, the idea gets all the glory. In this course, we focus on what actually matters: how you do the work. Launch Principles is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to develop the foundational mindset, frameworks, and skills that every founder must command before, and during, the chaos of building a business. This course stands on its own as a rigorous introduction to what it actually takes to go from zero to traction. At the heart of this course is a single, non-negotiable truth: the founder's most critical skill is the ability to experiment prolifically and learn from those experiments fast. Everything else follows from that. You'll develop that muscle through hands-on work - identifying and pressure-testing ideas, running real-world experiments, and building the judgment to know when to push forward and when to pivot. What you'll develop: (i) The ability to generate, evaluate, and validate business ideas with discipline and speed, (ii) Resilience not just tolerance for failure, but the capacity to extract insight from it, and (iii) A validated concept and a path forward. No prior experience is required. Launch Principles is open to any aspiring founder ready to do serious work on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Attendance at the first session is mandatory. Enrollment application required on the first day.
