Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming every aspect of our lives, including journalism. This course offers a comprehensive understanding of the impact of AI on society and the field of journalism, prepares students to navigate the uncertainties and opportunities AI presents, and empowers them with the knowledge and skills to report on this topic. The course explores AI from a multidisciplinary perspective, acknowledging its rich history and complex ethical considerations. Students engage with various investigative techniques, empowering them to scrutinize AI algorithms and their societal implications, but also use AI tools to understand how AI is reshaping journalism. The class includes guest speakers.
