Professionalization Workshop

Catalog description

The goal of this course is to help PhD students in Classics develop professional skills such as designing their CV, establishing and curating their online profile, developing academic articles, reviewing academic books, preparing conference abstracts, delivering academic presentations, embracing collaborative practices, upholding ethical standards, and practicing self-care. Sessions take place every other week. Each session is co-hosted by different faculty members and involves short presentations, discussions and practical exercises. This course is intended solely for PhD students in the Stanford Department of Classics.
