Introduction to random processes. Correlation and power spectral density functions. Stochastic dynamic analysis of multi-degree-of-freedom structures subjected to stationary and non-stationary random excitations. Crossing rates, first-excursion probability, and distributions of peaks and extremes. Applications in earthquake, wind, and ocean engineering. Prerequisite: 203 or equivalent. *** Note: this course will not be offered AY 2024-25. ***
