Catalog description

There are many benefits to grant writing but graduate students aren't always aware of them. This course is for biosciences graduate students who want to learn more about the grant writing process and how it can bolster their careers in academia and beyond. Students should be prepared to gain hands-on experience crafting an integral part of their grant application to kickstart their journey into being a successful grant writer. Through lecture, mini projects, guest speakers, and group discussions, graduate students will gain an introduction to grant writing that will prepare them to pursue external funding opportunities as they progress along their academic and professional trajectories.
