Catalog description

This course will discuss the use of high-throughput gene editing screens and their applications in biomedical science. Each week is a small module with 3 classes, consisting of 1 lecture by the instructors to introduce the topic, 1 faculty or industry speaker lecture, and 1 interactive workshop applying and practicing the concepts on a chosen topic/application of interest. The course is designed to be practical with discussions and practice on every step going from 'design' to analyzed 'data', so that students with no prior experience in doing in vitro or in vivo high-throughput screen can individually design and perform their own screen for their own research after the course.
