Catalog description

This course focuses on the preclinical-to-clinical pipeline of stem cell-based therapies for the Central Nervous System (CNS). Students will study stem cell biology fundamentals and explore how in vitro and in vivo animal models are used to evaluate therapeutic potential. Emphasis is placed on hands-on laboratory experience with cell culture, cell production, cGMP manufacturing and characterization, imaging technologies, and animal behavior analysis. The course highlights the steps required to translate laboratory findings into clinical treatments, bridging the gap between bench research and clinical application.
