Catalog description

TRAM212A introduces M-TRAM students to the major experimental and computational technologies driving modern translational research, biomarker discovery, precision medicine, and drug development. Through lectures from Stanford faculty, core facility directors, and translational scientists, students gain broad exposure to genomics, proteomics, single-cell and spatial omics, immune profiling, stem cell disease models, computational biology, machine learning, and high-throughput drug discovery technologies used across academia, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical research.The course is designed for students with diverse scientific, clinical, engineering, and entrepreneurial backgrounds and emphasizes conceptual understanding of how technologies are applied in translational medicine and drug development.
