Production Design for Film and TV

Catalog description

This hands-on class will explore the world of production design, art direction, and general art department for film, TV, and commercials. We will create sets using stock flats and props from the TAPS prop stock. Using a camera, monitor, and a simple lighting set up we will "dress to camera" and create striking compositions that highlight and support the story being told. Areas of study include the principles of design, collaboration with the director and DP, script analyzation, continuity, time management, budgeting etc.
