This course is a continued investigation of the possibilities of theatrical clown, designed for artists who have already begun their clown practice. Students will develop a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of clown performance - including partnership, audience play, and a personal sense of humor. Fundamentals will be applied to both prepared material and improvisational play. Students should expect this course to expand their image of what clown can be and to build on their perspectives about their own sense of humor and personal eccentric character. All coursework will be experiential and practical. Some outside rehearsal/investigation time required.
