Accelerated Second-Year Swahili, Second Quarter

Catalog description

It is designed for students who have prior experience in studying Swahili. Completion of the second-year accelerated first quarter Swahili , or equivalent, is a prerequisite. Students acquire proficiency in Swahili at an accelerated pace through intensive listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with special insight into Swahili-speaking cultures. Emphasis is on authentic materials and active use of the language in real-world contexts in order to develop functional abilities.
