Catalog description
This course is intended to train Biology students in scientific communication and critical analysis. Students will develop skills essential for careers based in biology: evaluating scientific and logical claims; critically assessing published literature; visualizing data effectively and compellingly; and communicating complex scientific topics, verbally and in writing, to broad audiences. In this class, through iterative writing assignments and hands-on data analysis and visualization, students will learn to think and communicate like scientists.
